Taylor Cramer

I am a 30 year old small business owner. I have been married for 6 years and have a Blue Heeler. My wife and I love to spend our evenings getting dirty on the local hiking trails, changing clothes, and heading into town to our favorite restaurants. Spending time at church, with my family, friends, camping in our vintage motorhome, and swimming in Lake Michigan are some of the things that make me the most happy.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am 1 of 5 brothers. Son to two great parents that kept us from killing each other. Now, I’m married to my beautiful wife, Abbey. No little ones for us, yet!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Currently I own Cold Shower Media, LLC. What I love most is specializing in podcast production. Podcasts allow anyone anywhere to share their ideas to a larger audience. Few things make me happier than helping people create their own podcast or audio content. There are a great many people with important things to share. I love to help them make it a reality.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
The food trucks at The Little Fleet cannot be beaten! I also love the wings at Workshop Brewing and the sushi at Red Ginger.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? What brought you to Grand Traverse County?
My wife and I transplanted here 3 years ago. We have always loved this area for its scenery and adventure.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I would have to say its my Pastor, Anthony Weber. He also teaches at NMC. You won’t find a more measured and compassionate person to have a conversation with.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Japan or Italy. My wife would really like to travel to Japan, so to be able to make that happen for her would be a dream come true. Italy, because of the authentic pasta experience.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I’ve really gotten into West Wing lately. As a kid it bored me to tears, but now I really like it!

Q: What advice would you give to people who want to visit our community?
To go off of the beaten path. You can find some really unexpected experiences if you dig a little deeper.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to do a fishing or hunting trip with a renowned chef and then help them cook what we caught!

Q: What current or former local business makes you feel the most nostalgic about our community?
When I am out of town too long or getting stir crazy at home, I really start to miss grabbing a cup of coffee from BLK MRKT.

Q: If you could choose anyone today with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you all meet for this lunch?*
I would love to sit down with my late grandmother, Charlotte. We would have lunch at Amical.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
When I need to be downtown I will almost always park far away so I have to walk past all of the shops and restaurants. Front street is a welcoming and happy place and it gives me energy.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself having grown a quality list of clients and producing all types of media content throughout the world.

I’m often reading 3 or more books at a time.

A secret lake in Idaho.

Q: Favorite month? Favorite holiday? and the best single day on the calendar?
