Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been in the beauty industry for the last 17 years and a professional Makeup Artist for the last 3 years. I have always loved being artistic and this is just another creative outlet. Combine that with the fact that I get to help make someone feel beautiful and develop friendships with clients from around the world and that is where a job becomes a passion. This is my passion!

Q: What is your favorite book?
I love the book “No Excuses” by Brian Tracy! It’s an old one but a good one! Personal development is all that you will find on my book shelf.

Q: What are some of your favorite restaurants in our community?
It depends on the time of the year and the food that I am craving. From veggies scrambles at Flap Jack Shack to tomato soup en croute at Amical or sushi at Red Ginger. You can’t go wrong!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? What brought you to Grand Traverse County?
Born here, raised here and staying here!

Q: What advice would you give to people who want to visit our community?
Eat the food, take the hikes, go to the farmers markets, find a cozy place on a beach to lay down and look at the stars, breath in the fresh air and take your time enjoying all the beauty that Northern Michigan has to offer.

Q: If you could choose anyone today with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you all meet?
Well, if today was summer I would love to have lunch with my friend Niki and all of our kids! We would grab some MKP Gobbler’s from Mary’s Kitchen Port and head to the beach for a picnic and playing!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that our growing community still has the small town feel. Everyone knows everyone and it just feels like home everywhere you go.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I am very much an introverted extrovert and when I get nervous I stutter. Just a work in progress!

Q: Which yearly event in Grand Traverse County do you enjoy best?
I love TC Restaurant week. Every year my Dad comes to town to take me on a date that week and it’s a tradition that I look forward to every year!

Q: What is your favorite season in Northern Michigan? And what is your favorite activity to do in that season?
There is something so magical about fall in Northern Michigan. The weather is still warm, the falling leaves blanket the ground with color, the orchards are full of apples to pick and there is always fresh cider and pumpkin donuts everywhere you go. The only thing thats complicated about fall in Northern Michigan is picking out which flannel you will wear that day!

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Peace, comfort and love.
