Tamrae L. ODell

My name is Tamrae. I’m a Registered Nurse transplanted to Traverse City from Jackson, MI in 2019. I’ve been in healthcare for nearly 17 years. Most of career has been spent in emergency medicine but, I recently transitioned to aesthetics this past year. I’m a firm believer in high standards over quantity. Working at Eternal Wellness MedSpa has allowed me to find a balance between helping clients and providing true, quality care. When I’m away from work, I enjoy spending time with my better half, Chris and his son Parker.

Q: Please tell us about yourself.
I’m 35. Lover of all animals.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve been in healthcare since 2006. I graduated in 2015, as a registered nurse and went immediately into emergency medicine. I only recently left the ER to discover better balance with my work-home life.

Q: What is your favorite book?
Ope….honestly, I’m not a reader but, I do love a good crime podcast!

Q: What are some of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Bubbas, Barrio, North Bar, Bahia…any place with good vibes and great food!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? What brought you to Grand Traverse County?
I moved here in 2019. Relocated for better window views.

Q: What advice would you give to people who want to visit our community?
Appreciate all that it has to offer. Especially all of the locally owned restaurants, the hiking trails and the countless breweries.

Q: If you could choose anyone today with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you all meet?
I’ll be a teen for a moment and say Morgan Wallen at Silver Spruce. Morgan hasn’t sang a bad song and Silver Spruce hasn’t made a bad beer. Perfect match, if I do say so.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The trails. I love nature and could spend every second of the day outside, if the weather allowed.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I don’t like being called Tammy but, I also won’t correct those who do. My name is pronounced Tam-ra (Tam is also fine).

Q: Which yearly event in Grand Traverse County do you enjoy best?
Suds and Snow!

Q: What is your favorite season in Northern Michigan? And what is your favorite activity to do in that season?
Summer! Paddle boarding and bonfires.
