I’m Ashleigh! I’m originally from Savannah, Georgia. I moved to Traverse City with my husband after he got out of the Air Force. I love going to the beach, hiking, camping, just being outside in general. I’m passionate about fun, simple, and clean beauty methods & products and I love sharing that passion with my community.

 

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I started TC Glow Co in 2020 as a way to empower people and to help them be confident in their own skin. Spray tanning has created a ton of opportunities for me and has helped me connect with so many people in the community.

Q: What is your favorite book?
Wizard and Glass by Stephen King

Q: What are some of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Ooo! There are so many! Osorio’s and Towne Plaza are a few of my faves.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? What brought you to Grand Traverse County?
I moved here in 2015! My then boyfriend, now husband Aaron was stationed in Savannah (my hometown) and we met after I moved back home from San Francisco. After his contract was finished with the Air Force we moved to Traverse City so he could spend some time back home.

Q: What advice would you give to people who want to visit our community?
Spend your time like a local & support local! Spend as much time outdoors as you can.

Q: If you could choose anyone today with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you all meet?
I would love to have lunch with my dad. We don’t get to see each other much bc he lives in Savannah. I would take him to Oakwood bc it’s definitely his vibe and the burgers are AMAZING!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love how eager everyone is to support local. It’s so heartwarming to see a community stand together.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m really really good at Mario Kart.

Q: Which yearly event in Grand Traverse County do you enjoy best?
The Rainbow Dinner hosted by Up North Pride! The dance party is soooooo much fun!

Q: What is your favorite season in Northern Michigan? And what is your favorite activity to do in that season?
SUMMER! I am such a summer girl. I love camping with my family & friends and floating down the river.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
coffee, wind chimes, and open windows
